Safely in Uganda

We are on African soil.  Our London to Nairobi flight was long and fairly cramped but we arrived in Kenya just as the sun was rising.  After a brief stop we connected to Entebbe where we were met by Rosemary, Mary and Abdal (our driver and answer man) .  A few things...
  • Our box and rubbermaid containers did not make it (yet)  So that means we have 5 pieces of luggage out there somewhere.  We made arrangements to have them picked up should they arrive.
  • Our personal luggage made it along with 5 hockey bags, so most of the quilts made it!
  • We have checked into a hotel in Kampala, a huge, busy, loud and crowded city.  We drove right through the heart of the city - pictures (which will come later) will not do it justice.
  • We leave for Kumi/Oogoma tomorrow - possible after a few hours of picking up supplies.
  • We will update our itinerary on this blog site when we have made some more decisions.
We are very grateful for your prayers.  Some of us didn't sleep well on the plane - mainly me (Kevin) for some reason.  We have napped a bit and are heading our for supper.
We continue to be in good spirits - Rosemary has proved to be an amazing host.
We will hope to add some pictures shortly...

Blessings again to all our loved ones and friends.  We know God has brought us safely to this place...

Kevin, Eric, Justin, Richard, Travis, Jim and Marjorie!
