Eric's quote "If the insurance companies knew what it was like to drive in Uganda, then they wouldn't sell us travel insurance"
After a great morning in Kampala, where we had breakfast with 8 of Rosemary's kids. These are kids between the ages of 14 and 21 who she has provided schooling for. The internet is very iffy here so no pics yet, sorry.
After that amazing visit we picked up some supplies for the well which will be shipped up on Wednesday. Then we drove to Kumi...
Wow! The only way to describe it - it seems as if the entire population of Uganda lives within 30 feet of the road - and we go flying by in our van with people routinely a few feet away. Shops, houses and just people, lots of people.
The last hour of our journey was in the pitch dark, with created a whole new level of terror, especially for Eric who was sitting in the front.
But we are now at the Kumi Hotel, soon to have breakfast and finally to travel out to Ogooma. We can hardly wait - this journey is harrowing and not for the faint of heart, but we are healthy, happy and whole.
Good news, our baggage arrived in Entebbe - now we just have to figure out how to get it up here.
